Schengen visa:

Schengen visa is a travel document between 15 European member countries; the visa was introduced to make it much easier and less bureaucratic to travel across Europe. Visa allows the holder to travel to any (or all) of the member countries using one single visitor visa, avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for member state of the agreement. Typically used by persons who wish to visit several European countries on a single trip? Schengen visas are "visitor visas". All visa nationals requiring entry to the EU are required to be issued with visitor visa before traveling.

Visas must only be used for leisure, tourism, or business purposes. Once the visitor visa has been issued, the visa holder can enter all member states and travel freely throughout the Schengen area. We strongly recommend sticking to planned journeys as Schengen visas are very difficult to extend beyond the original period of issue, forcing you to leave the Schengen members area in compliance with the Schengen rules and regulations. A visitor visa is issued for a maximum stay of 90 days in a 6 month period.
